Hi Shorty,

I've just figured out the keel / centerboard arrangement, with some weight down low in the centerboard for added stability. The ballast displacement ratio is 25%. Still don't know how much of that 309 lbs is in the centerboard and how much in the stub keel.

The line from the cockpit winds around an 8" to 10" spool in the cabin which in turn is attached to a 2" to 3" spool that has the line to the centerboard. Picture in you mind the gearing on a bicycle. Some owners have added leverage by running the line through a series of blocks at the forward end of the centerboard case. The draft is 20 inches with the centerboard up.
