Fixing the Glory B

to do list and materials cost

new turnbuckle - $16  -done

Interior work: - mostly done
2-3 sheets 3/8 plywood - ($35-60)
1/2 sheet 3/4 (or scrap
epoxy resin
fiberglass cloth

( no way to save much other than keep an eye out for scrap
plywood (building sites etc)

-approx $110

Floatation - pour foam - $150
find foam ?

replace mahogany strips on companionway door (keep an eye out for scraps)
fix centerboard trunk - strengthened and temp birch ply cover built
(done for free)

Running rigging 
New sheets and Halyards - new spectra halyards!$50
(keep an eye out for used pieces, reuse the one piece for jib sheets,
use a piece from the Swan for the main, other rope for the halyards)
Main and jib Halyards -46 feet of 3/8 = $34

Rudder repair (Done)
refinish tiller - done
either repair and refinish rudder (Done)or plane or
 adjust and finish new one
(use spar varnish from swan)

Lights  - clean rewire and replace where necessary 
attach masthead light
get battery and battery case (or make wood case)$40-100
install depth sounder

bilge pump and float switch $10-40

Cockpit drain? - completely new!

trailer - replace beds with slightly longer 2x6 
try to adjust beds


get handheld VHF radio - 50-90 or borrow the one from the swan

Rubrail!!


Approx - $300-500

on the cheap(free plywood and running rigging) - $150-200

Scavenge more bits from Swan (rope varnish primer etc)

-clutched Silver century bottom end

-Raise the transom mount 2 inches(new wood part or addition to
 it (epoxy and screws)

-Make a new front and  rear mast support and make them about 4-6
 inches higher!
