100 gallon stock tank
If you own koi, a tank and cover like this is great to have for a bunch of reasons:
- Great transportation tank for when taking your koi to a show. Much better than bagging and boxing your koi, you can run an aerator in the tank so they have a constant fresh oxygen supply. I have carried 20 large koi at one time in this tank and they were fine.
- Quarantine new koi or hospital tank for sick koi.
- Holding tank if you have to drain and repair your pond.
- Hatching koi eggs and growing fry when your koi spawn in the spring.
It is approx 52" x 34" x 24" high.
$80 for the tank with the cover.
Fiberglass koi show bowl
It is 44" at the widest point, and 11" deep.
For presenting and photographing koi, it is very important to have a show bowl with the proper color of blue. I have used this bowl to show hundreds of koi to customers, and also use it for photographing my koi for entry into the WWKC online koi show. And for my own personal records, I photograph all of my koi atleast once a year to track their progress.
The diameter is wide enough to display several large koi. The picture to the right is a 30" koi with a 20" koi to the side. The depth is just right, it is shallow enough so you and your customer can view the koi easily, but deep enough that the koi won't jump out.
It is thick fiberglass, so it is very durable, you can carry it around by the lip. When done showing the koi, you can lift the bowl up by the side and dump out the water. You can paint it with regular latex paint to get just the right color of blue for showing and photographing your fish.
The problem with plastic show bowls is their color fades over time and they lighten up, making your koi look more pale in the photographs. And plastic bowls are a bit more expensive than I am selling this one for, even though they are not as nice.
$100 for the bowl
