Palacios TX Dinghy Dash 2004


NOTICE:

Unfortunately I am leaving Texas. Not sure exactly when I am heading out, but will probably be before Sep 2004 when the dash is run. So, Bill Tosh volunteered to take over organizing the event, you can see all details at his site:

I had hopes that if this year went well, then next year would be a 3 day event:
Friday - sail 20 miles from Palacios to Indianola \ Magnolia beach, camp there and visit with Charlie Jones, who lives only 1/2 mile away. Saturday - sail 24 miles up around island and over to palacios beach, spend the night there.
Sunday - sail 7 miles back to Palacios.


Also had hopes to get a dinghy dash going at Lake Livingston:
Saturday - sail 11.5 miles from Wolf Creek state park to the dam, then back to the island and camp out there for the night.
Sunday- sail 5 miles back to wolf creek park
If you really wanted to add miles to the trip, you could start from one of the launch points around the 190 bridge.
