Ken Abrahams brought his newly constructed Pocket Cat.
He would have arrived earlier, except that the inspection day for home made boats in Louisana was the morning of the messabout. To add insult to injury, Ken arrived on time, but the inspector never showed up!
Ken lives 3.5 hours drive away, so he spent more time driving one way, than actually at the event. I really apreciate you coming Ken, I sure enjoyed visiting with you and getting to see your boat!
This is Ken Abrahams on the left, and his buddy Al Guerrini on the right. Ken is also an officer at the Lake Charles Yacht Club in Louisana. They are having a "Contraband" regatta in May, which is supposed to be a real fun event. Any boat can enter the regatta, for more information [click here]
Ken's Pocket Cat is constructed completely from 1/4" Luaune plywood.
For the sails, rig, and many other parts, he burglarized a Hobie 14.

The wind was dying for the day, but we took her out into the main part of the lake anyway.
Everyone got a turn on the tiller, here is Randy Watkins.
