I want to say thanks to all the people who made donations. You guys were all very generous and we were able to cover the expenses that we incured for the messabout. Also I want to thank Ron Liston, the owner of Conroe Yacht Club for allowing us to hold the event at his club. I explored all the possible messabout sites around the lake, and none of them compare to the club.

I had mentioned the rumor of a messabout in Austin, this idea has died and won't materialze.

We decided that once a year wasn't enough, so we are going to host another messabout in October of 2002. Not sure exactly when yet, but to help notify people about the event, we have created an announcement list - please sign up to the list to be notified: [click here]

Ken Abrahams is an officer at the Lake Charles Yacht Club [click here] , and is interested in holding a messabout there. When I hear the details, I'll post all the info to the above notification list. Lake Charles is only a couple of hours drive from here.
