Sailing with my buddy Tim Webber in his Sea Pearl 21 at the 2008 Magnolia Beach Messabout, which is at the end of the Texas 200 sailboat raid.

This video taken while sailing on Graham Byrnes EC22 sailboat, looking at a kite sail driven proa built by LeRaunt (sp?). Also aboard is Graham Byrnes (at the helm), Puddle Duck Hero Jason Nabors (pony tail), his daughter Brittany (short brown hair), and Graham's grand daughter Marissa (long brown hair). Aboard the proa is LeRaunt & Kevin O'Neil.




This video taken standing on Magnolia Beach while looking at Graham Byrnes EC22 sailboat taking another load of people out for a ride. The wind was starting to die, but you can almost still see how when he trims the sails properly, the EC22 just jumps and takes off. That is one fast boat !! No wonder it won the Everglades Challenge. Also while sailing aboard, Graham showed how easy it was to balance the boat so you could adjust the tiller with just a couple of fingers. That plus lots of other ergonomic features of the boat make it very comfortable to sail, which is really important when you are going for a couple hundred miles during a race.
