Games you can play with your Shorty Pen -- Tic Tac Toe

Intro
I can't remember a time when I didn't know how to play tic tac toe. It seems to be such a universally taught game that I feel rather silly writing down instructions for how to play it. I tried looking but was unable to find the origin of this game.

The Object Of The Game
To get 3 of your marks in a row.

tic tac toe Playing Instructions
You start out with a blank grid. Each person gets to make one mark on an open square, per turn. Usually the first to play is X and the other is O.

When staring the first game, it is customary for the younger of the two to go first. Then on successive games, the looser of the last game gets to start the next one.
tic tac toe When a player gets 3 in a row, then they win. If both players know what they are doing, then it is most likely that they will block each other and come to a draw which is called a "cats game". A large C is then drawn over the playing box and a new game can be started on another grid.
tic tac toe Expanded Grids
You can also play it with larger grids such as 4x4 and try to get 4 in a row, or you can use the bigger grid but only go for 3 in a row.

There is a 3D version, you make 3 of the grids next to each other and then when playing, you can make a row as visualized that the grids are stacked on top of each other.
